Ella is a year older than Chester and you will notice that, although it is a free, unguided activity, she is more inclined to try what the “teacher” is painting. She you may also notice that she has learned to run the bristles of her brush along the edge of the paint jar in order to adjust the amount of paint she is taking up. I explain that I do that for that reason, but with these two, I believe her inclination to think about putting it into practice is due to her being older (7yrs, 8mos) whereas Chester is about to turn 7 in two months.
